WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Over
the years the Anorexia and Bulimia Family Support Group® has provided
information to those who suffer from the illness, educated their families
and friends. We have over time assisted and directed several hundred
sufferers towards their recovery. Our internet support group has provided
assistance to many Family members and friends.
We have been involved and associated with research projects and have
also contributed towards the cost of treatment for sufferers from financially
disadvantaged families.
You are a visitor to our site and we would like you to know that our
dedicated staff have devoted hours of work in preparing this web site
to assist you with information to help you understand more about the
disorder, the symptoms, causes and recovery. We have responded to thousands
of letters from families, sufferers, their friends as well as those
preparing projects on awareness. Our Moderators on the Free yahoo
groups 'Anorexia Bulimia Support' have devoted their spare time to helping
others to recover and understand the illness.
As
we are now well into the new millennium we are at the threshold of a
new era in brain and behavioral sciences and through research we are
learning more about obsessive compulsive disorders of which Psychological
Eating Disorders is one. This organization has largely contributed towards
research over the past years.
As we are NOT funded by any specific organization and rely totally on
donations to enable us to continue with this service, we desperately
need your assistance. Without funding we are not able to provide this
informative web site, answer your specific questions, host support on
Yahoo Groups, provide assistance to both sufferers and family members
and neither would we be able to continue with research.
We
appeal to you to make a donation enabling us to continue to provide
